Shri Vasantrao Naik Mahavidyalaya Dharni

         The college is located at Dharni (Kusumkot) 145 km. away from Amravati in Melghat (Satpuda hill ranges), serving educational facilities since 1974. The college campus having 2.24 hectares in which 1.60 hectares for playground, 0.64 hectares for college building area. It runs Arts, Commerce and Science faculties with attached Jr. College and H.S.C.V.C. The college works under ‘Dayaram Patel Smarak Trust’ and is affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. 

     The college has got the teaching staff  26 teachers, out of them two have got Professor grade, one of which has got Associate Professor grade and the remaining teachers are Assistant Professors. The non-teaching staff consists of 14 employees working at different posts. In the arts stream contains four optional subjects like History, Political science, Sociology and Economics. student can choose any three subjects for Graduation in arts. The commerce stream possesses an up to date syllabus for graduation which helps the students meet the market demands in 21st century. With well equipped laboratories full-fledged teaching staff our college make students acquainted with vast arena of science. The huge collection of books in the knowledge resource centre provides sufficient back-up to all the three streams and quench the thrust of knowledge in the growing students. The Department of physical education shape the urge of sports in the students with full enthusiasm.

      Besides the above mentioned U.G-programmes, our college successfully stepped up in the field of research with the Ph.D. research centres in Hindi, English, History, Political science, Zoology and Botany.
